The first telecast of the Awards was in 2020 on CITV filmed by Fresh TV which followed a series of recordings also by One Communication, Digicel and WOW.

Hosted by entertainer Nadanja Bailey who headed the presenters committee.

The ceremony was executively produced by Maurita Andre which she also headlined performing Adieu with the Bermuda School of Music, Raymond George and Dr. LaTannia Ellerby.

The first Premier’s Awards Ceremony was held to honor the accomplishments of construction workers for the year 2018.

There are no specific criteria for receiving the award with distinction; it simply specifies that the award should come in two degrees, one by online poll majority decision and hence any decision to award the higher degree is entirely at the discretion of the committee.

In many categories, certificates are presented to those ineligible for a construction specific award but who made a positive contribution to society. These certificates are known as elective certificates or winners certificates. All persons are eligible for a certificate at the ceremony.
